Chapbooks

In addition to other products, HWP publishes chapbooks.

Chapbooks are a part of everyday life in the form of menus, recipe booklets, programs, product catalogs, organization overviews, company policies and procedures, schedules, and more.

These booklets are usually made of 8 1/2" x 11" paper folded in half to a format of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

HWP chapbooks are saddle-stapled, photocopied pages with lightweight cardstock cover. Layout is designed with desktop publishing software. The illustration of choice is b/w images, including drawings, paintings and clipart.

The pleasure of chapbooks is in the:

• simple, crisp, black and white pages,
• the thin, lightweight format,
• the handy, easily portable size,
• the affordability,
• and the usually singular subject matter.

About HWP

Holland Writing & Publishing is an independent, small press publisher of chapbooks, booklets, instruction sheets, documents, templates and a variety of other published products.

It is operated as a home-based sole proprietorship with e-mail and direct mail as the methods of contact. Avenue of distribution is through mail order, consignment and trade shows/festivals.

The development and operation of HWP is not contingent upon the market, the economy or huge profit-margin projections. It is a constantly evolving, lifelong enterprise.
